To provide a supportive, non-judgmental setting where a woman can make decisions for herself and take control of her life.

To provide information, support, and where appropriate, advocacy in the following areas:

Legal advice and information regarding custody, access, restraining orders, support, property division and other legal issues;

 
Counselling referrals for all family members in abusive homes;

 
Family Benefits Allowance (FBA) and other related benefits;

 
Workshops in:
 
Financial planning;
Increasing one's self-esteem
Stress management; and
Other related topics.

To inform and educate the community and professionals on the problems faced by abused women and their children in collaboration with existing services performing the same function.

To participate in community efforts to eliminate the abuse of women.

To advocate for, and foster the development of, services for abused women and their children.

To open our shelter for abused women and their children, as well as to provide the crisis and follow-up counselling necessary to assist women in gaining control over their lives.

To provide the education resources necessary to support women in achieving their full potential. Such resources would include a video and publication library, a bookstore, expanded workshops and seminars, and a meeting place where women could network or seek support.
