Lost Treasure

There was a place within my heart

that never felt quite right,

Then you came into my life

and changed that overnight.

 

It’s like finding a long lost treasure

you never hoped to find,

Filling up with happiness

your heart, your soul, your mind.

 

Though it makes no earthly sense,

somehow you know it’s true,

This one you've found had always been

the missing part of you.

 

Destiny is something

we can't fathom or explain,

But once you rendezvous with it,

you never are the same.

 

Now I guard this treasure more

than silver or gold,

Because this special person 

is a part of my very soul.
