Irish Blessing

May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields,
And, until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
May God grant you many years to live,
For sure he must be knowing
The earth has angels all too few
And Heaven is overflowing.
May you be in Heaven half an hour
Before the devil knows you're dead!

Note: Although this page is copyrighted, the Irish Blessing itself is public domain, stemming from very old Irish tradition. Thanks to Robin Burns for bringing this confusion to my attention.
