RUDOLPH
THE RED NOSED
REINDEER

IT HAPPENED ON CHRISTMAS DAY

In 1939, Montgomery Ward stores introduced
RUDOLPH
as the ninth reindeer.
The stores gave away more than
2.4 million copies of a little booklet called
"RUDOLPH THE RED - NOSE REINDEER."
The poem was written by
Robert May, who worked
in the advertising department,
and illustrated by Denver Gillen.

Famous cowboy singer;
Gene Autry,
immortalized Rudolph in his 1949 hit record,
and people continue
to sing it every Christmas !

You know Dasher, and Dancer, and

Prancer, and Vixen,

Comet, and Cupid, and

Donner and Blitzen

But do you recall

The most famous reindeer of all

Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer

had a very shiney nose

and if you ever saw it

you would even say it glows

All of the other reindeer

used to laugh and call him names

They never let poor Rudolph

play in any reindeer games.

Then one foggy Christmas eve

Santa came to say:

"Rudolph with your nose so bright,

won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

Then all the reindeer loved him

as they shouted out with glee

Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,

you'll go down in history !!
