How Did They Torture People?

Wow, interresting topic!
Anyway...

So you wanna know how people were tortured many years ago? I have to say this- you're kinda curious.

It was mostly Witches, Christians, or wrong-doers that were tortured. Christians, I read in the bible, were stoned to death if found studying the bible. Also I've read in the bible that if Jews had sexual intercourse before being married (pre-marital sex) were also stoned to death! The "government" of the town would organize a ceremony and the 2 people were brought in front of everyone and people were allowed to pick up stones from the ground and whip at them! Can you imagine the pain?
 
A good example of man slotter/torture is when the Jews crucified Jesus because they said that he claimed being the son of God. (By the way: He is!)
The people built a large heavy cross and had Jesus carry it to the top of a hill. There- they lay him on the cross and nailed in hands and feet right into the cross with real live nails! Then put up the cross and let him hang there until he died.
 
What the did to witches was very different. They tied them on a poll and surrounded them with a circle of gasoline. You can guess what happened next.. yes that's it! FIRE! They put them on fire and wished them to go to hell. The woman on the poll would burn up quickly and her ashes were thrown away in a river somewhere. Or bottled up and thrown in a
