I went to a treehouse gig.

They - played at the Orient played at Ric's cafe played at the Arena played at a party i went to played at the Zoo busked in the mall in front of  - a rowdy crowd a few friends and relatives the roadie and two janitors a group of paid strangers some hostile escaped convicts the friends and family of the bands they were supporting royalty and various distinguished peoples .

 

They - rocked! went OFF! were amusing were well meaning were that little bit naughty were rather tame - but in a nice way . Especially that - Stacy Rashid - keyboards Johnny Maddog Swingle - drums DFHannah - guitar Liesl Pfeffer - bass Paul Ivan Medew - bass drunk guy near the stage band just before them whom I thought was so - debonair sexy nervous polished badly dressed nice smelling .

 

I thought the song - Time 2 Go Home email Library Girl Tamagotchi Surfin the AM dial Grandpa's Car Disco Bunny RockTek Sin 2 Rock High Road to China Barrel of Fun was - remarkable one of the tastiest little tunes i'd ever heard waaaay out of tune shitty bewwwwdiful .

 

The band reminded me of - The Kinks The Beatles Custard early Pink Floyd My uncle Walther when he hasn't had enough sugar. .

 

The entire experience left me wondering - can they play at my upcoming party/bar mitzvah/wedding/funeral? are humans just lonely microscopic anomalies in a hostile universe? is there an answer to the riddles of infinity? who do you have to fuck to get a gig in this shithole? why is the sun blue and the sky golden? is the song "Email" meant in an ironic way? i hope not. .

 

Next time I think I'll - bring all of my friends go to a movie instead pay double at the door pull my eyes out rather than sit through their set unless I'm - busy elsewhere stupider than i look drunk.

and I - hope they can only wish they don't   release a - full length album press release saying they've broken up vaccine against their nauseating rubbish soon.
