Welcome!
Five years ago I made a monumental decision in my life and became a second wife and stepmom. Without the wisdom and friendship I found at the Second Wives
Club I would have never made it this long. This group, started by a woman who surely had no idea what she was getting into, has become a staple in my life. The site and the women
I have met through it have kept me sane in an otherwise insane situation.
In an effort to help others as Susan has helped me, I have volunteered to coordinate local meetings for support of stepmoms and second wives in my area. My goal is to have women come together, once a month, or more, in a safe place to vent, to laugh, to cry, to share, and not be judged as often happens when we share our stories with those who have not walked in our shoes.
Stepping Locally
I also moderate an email list for stepmoms without kids of their own. To join, enter your email address below.
Besides being a stepmom, I am also a volunteer. I share my skills with my sorority, Delta Gamma, both locally and internationally. I am also a volunteer in the computer center of my local library, Northland Public Library.
When I am not reading for pleasure, I will do book reviews for the SWC site. Some books are sent to me for review, and some are books that I have picked up on my own.
I also volunteer with the site by moderating message boards.

I have a lot of crafting hobbies. The newest is quilting. I have completed three quilts, all gifts, in the past couple of years. The first was a baby quilt for a couple of young chaps who live on a farm.
The second was a 10th birthday quilt for my step daughter.
The third was a wedding quilt for one of my oldest and dearest friends.
I have a few other projects in the planning stage, but nothing new, at this point, that I have started yet. All of my quilt pictures can be found here.
