Spring Break Tour 2002

Mel rocks my world! Not only does she have an amazing, floaty, soprano/alto/tenor -type voice, but her arranging skills are incredible! You are probably wondering why I put ducks on her page- well, it's a story having to do with quacking ducks saying "AFLAC!!!" No one can quack like Mel (nor act like a monkey for that matter...except for Shirls- but you'd have to listen to Dicks and Janes "Trashin the Camp" to understand!).

The songs she has arranged for the Dicks and Janes include:
Tonight and the Rest of My Life (Nina Gordon)
Kiss Me (Sixpence None the Richer)
The Sweetest Taboo (Sade)
Little Lies (Fleetwood Mac)
Call Me Al (Paul Simon)
Monster Ballad Medley
The Way You Love Me (Faith Hill)
Can't Fight This Feelin' (R.E.O. Speedwagon)
King of Pain (The Police)
Little Lies (Fleetwood Mac)
Smooth (Santana)
Verdi Cries (10,000 Maniacs)
Virtual Insanity (Jamiroquai)
To Mel (April 2002)- "AFLAC," "Quote Queen," my own Audrey Hepburn
I am so happy we've grown closer this year. Ever since I met you,
I have had such an admiration for you. You are so incredibly talented, beautiful, and intelligent, that at times I find myself wanting to better myself to be more like you. "Angel" was the perfect song for you to sing at auditions, as it truly personifies your voice. I will truly miss singing with you,
and am so grateful at how much better a musician I have become having known you.
