I first heard Beth Nielsen Chapman's music in the Summer of 1998. I was watching a TV show (which will have to remain nameless because it's on the WB), when "Say Goodnight" started playing in the background. I immediately fell in love with Beth's beautiful, smooth voice, which is similar to Sarah McLachlan's, with a little more "pop-y" feel to it. If you like Sarah or artists like Loreena McKennitt, I suggest trying Beth's Sand and Water. Songs such as The Color of Roses, Beyond the Blue, Sand and Water, Seven Shades of Blue, No One Knows but You and Say Goodnight are truly calming and inspiring.
