Yvor and Freya

Yvor is Slovensky (or Slovatsky) Chuvach. This breed is well known in Slovakia and Germany. Some people mistake Chuvach for a large labrador or a golden retriver. But Chuvach is not only bigger and has a whiter fur, it also has a very different character: generally very friendly, this dog can instantly become very fierce in order to protect his owner. Chuvach wouldn't attack unprovoked, but could be glad to be attacked. :-) A small pack (3 or 4) of Chuvachs can bring down a bear!

When Yvor was only 8 months old, my husband took him to a European Dog Show. There our Yvor was highly prased by judjes and got a "Hope of Europe 2001" badge. Look how proud he is of his win:

Freya is a Seal color-point Ragdoll. She thinks she's the lady of the house and I exist only to feed her on demand, brush her, clean her litter box and play with her. Therefore, she is always surprised when I don't follow her orders. :-)

Yvor and Freya grew up together. They are friends. Freya likes spending her time in Yvor's "kennel". In fact, she likes it so much, she's been trying to take it all to herself! Look at those 2 examples - the first picture was taken when the pets were about 4 months old, and the second one - a month later.

They like to cuddle together:
