• Cheapskate Monthly - Daily Advice. Mary Hunt was a spendtrift. Then she converted, and became a self-admitted cheapskate. She gives advice on how to fight the constant urge to spend and how to win in the battle against debt.
• The Dollar Stretcher: stretch your dollar! Save and live debt-free. Learn how to cook, shop, care frugally for yourself, your home and car. Manage your business, your taxes and your credit. Ask other readers and get plenty of good advice.
• Creative Homemaking: advices on frugal and creative housekeeping.

Cooking

I love doing things. My favorite handcrafts are knitting, crochet and beading.

Beading:

I love beading. It's so simple, and yet results could be so startling! Here some links where you can get an inspiration and learn about beading:

• Beadwork site of Suzanne Cooper. Great page! Check her "Jumpstart Classroom" page - the easiest way to start! Also, check "Galleries" section: some great works there.
• Beading classes by Anne Hawley. Check the round peyote stitch class - it's really cool!
• And, of course, the beautiful About.Com Beadwork Homepage: classes, tips, free patterns and lots of useful links!

Knitting and Crochet:

Those are 2 crafts that are fun and produce beatiful results!

• Check Knitting and Crochet home pages at About.Com. Classes, free patterns and lots of useful links!
• Lion Brand Yarns: the free patterns page. You can buy yarn there, and also get some beautiful knitting and crochet patterns (photos included!).
• Craft Yarns Council: knit and crochet patterns - very beautiful, with very good instructions. Most patterns have a photo of complete project, so you know how it's supposed to look like in the end.

Movies and Sci-Fi

• Ain't It Cool News. Everything about movies and TV. There are rumors, spoilers, movie reviews, reports from movie sets etc.
• Cinescape Online. Another great site about movies and TV.
• Sci-Fi Wire. News about everything SF&F: books, movies, TV shows, video/DVD releases, show ratings, US SciFi channel etc.
• The official Star Wars Home Page. The name speaks for itself.

My Friends

• My friends Inna and Mark Goldshmidt. Inna is, among other things, a great cook. Her page contains some of her favorite recipes. Mark is a programmer, and one of the smartest people I ever met. I think you might find him interesting as well.
• Polina (Paulina) Karasik is a mom of 2 boys. She collects their saying (very funny) and drawings, and tells all about being a mom. This site will help any expectant mother!
• Natalie Touretsky is a talented artist. She draws and makes beautiful beadwork and writes poetry. This site is a gallery of her work. She updates it periodically. There's also a link to her "private" gallery.
