Women Helping Women
Dedicated women that volunteer their time and energy to raising funds for La Casa.
Money raised by the Guild has been used to buy food for the shelter, children's play
equipment and furnishings for our new shelter. We have annual fundraisers that include:
- Our Coffee Booth at the Doņa Ana Art Council's Renaissance Craft Faire on the
first weekend in November selling gourmet coffees and sweets.Cash donations
- Our Annual Holiday Bazaar held on the first weekend of December at Dickerson's
Barn on West Picacho. This is the biggest and best known craft bazaar in Doņa Ana
County with over 180 vendors will be participating. We also have a Raffle and the
Cupboard which sells homemade baked goods all donated by volunteers and board members.
- Our Annual Poinsettia Sale also takes place in early December. Last year,
thanks to our many volunteers we were able to sell thousands of dollars worth of
poinsettias to individuals and businesses throughout the county.
- In April we will close out our yearly fundraising activities with our Third
Annual Golf Tournament to be held at Picacho Hills Country Club.
We are always in need of new members and volunteers to help out with the planning
and/or execution of all of the above events. It is a lot of fun and for a great cause.
