Channel Four ran a story this afternoon about a woman in Nashville who kept swearing there were snakes in her toilets. She said it would come up and raise it's head out of the water in the bowl. It wasn't until her husband had a...well...not quite face to face with the critter that she was believed.
When wildlife services was called in, they pulled a four foot snake out of her toilet. They said they saw two more when they ran a camera down the line. Initially, it was reported that a water moccasin was pulled out but now they're saying it's simply a banded water snake.
Now the woman has completely wrapped all three toilets in her home in plastic, so the snake can't get out. What does she do when nature calls? "Good control and very understanding neighbors."
The best line came when Channel Four interviewed an elderly neighber as she held a small dog: "I was afraid that snake would come up out of that commode and get my grand-dog Lucy."
I wonder how the grandkids feel about that?
