5. A text editor of some type, such as the GeoCities Advanced Editor or Microsoft's Notepad.HTML stands for Hypertext Mark-up Language. What it is, is small tags which are placed within a text document that tell a web browser how to display the page. For instance, one tag may tell it to boldface a word, another might tell the browser to insert a certain graphic in a particular place, etc.
