autobiographical series

My husband says I quilt my autobiography because no one can read my handwriting. (Of course this can't be true because my checks are always cashed with no problem which must mean someone can read it!)

Westwinds

Trouble comes at me from the west and this was my documentation of that feeling of being under seige. All my tents seemed to be blowing away!

Filling Negative Spaces
I've always been fascinated with the mythology of crop circles, and decided to make my own rather than waiting around for one to happen in my front yard. $500- it's a steal.

2002 Journaling Project
The following quiltlets were done in response to an on-line discussion about journaling. Each represents one month, from January through September 2002. I set the rule for myself that I would only work with the materials I had available on one shelf of my studio, things I had recently used and were waiting to get put away. As cheerful as some of these look, they chronicle a very difficult period of time and I am not keeping track of awful events this way any longer. These were displayed in Houston in the fall of 2002 and in the new Chicago IQF show in the spring of 2003. All are 8.5" x 11" and done in various techniques.
