More About Me...

In addition to my work and my love of traveling, here is some other information about me.

Within the past year I have become active in the community at First Presbyterian Church of Arlington and officially joined in June 2005. I am active in Young Adult Groups, which meet for fellowship and bible study often. The group has had a profound effect on me and changed my life for the better. I am also blessed that FPC brought my fiance, Tim, and I together!

In April of 2002, I decided that I wanted to run the Charlottesville Women's Four Miler.  Three friends from the Math Dept starting running with me through rain and hot, humid weather.  On August 31st, Jess, Rebecca and I all successfully completed the Charlottesville Women's Four Miler. I also ran the Ntelos 8K in Richmond on November 9th.  I finished in 52:47, which I was very happy with since I hadn't really been training as much as I should have been.    My last race was the Ukrop's Monument Avenue 10K in Richmond on March 29, 2003. Running has been an on and off hobby of mine since I left UVa. While I lived in Baltimore I did make a great friend and running partner in Patrick, who is training for his second marathon right now! (more power to him) Another running partner from UVa has recently moved to the area, so Amy and I are hoping to take to the trails and get back into running shape this fall. I also enjoy lifting weights at Gold's Gym and have been a member there for the past year.

In the past few years, I have been in as well as attended the weddings of many of my friends, which has been a fun time to share with them (some of whom I've known since first grade!) and now I have the challenge of doing it myself!
