This is for you Bake,
Love, Marilyn "Your Lucky Lady"

"OLDIE BUT GOODIE"

Bake, It's your birthday and anything you want to do is OK by me...
I've heard how cranky old people can get when they don't get their own way.

THE GOOD OLD DAYS

It's Your Birthday

Today is your special day,
so celebrate in your favorite way.
As time goes bye, The years
begin to fly.
But, you're only as old as you feel,
even when gray hair begins to yield.
Life is full of ups and downs
But, always wear a smile, instead
of a frown.
Many wishes for days to come
and may your birthday be a very
extra special one.

The Birthday Poem

It seems that day is finally here
A time when we, with honest cheer,
With pride and love and joyous mirth,
Celebrate your day of birth.
Please pardon me, but I must say
Whose idea was this anyway?
All this cake that makes us fat
People wearing goofy hats
Smells of wax and candles burning
Gifts that always need returning
Friends all singing out of key,
Fighting with the family
What's the point? When all is said,
It's one more year that you're not dead.

How to know you are growing old

Everything hurts and what doesn't hurt, doesn't work.
The gleam in your eyes is from the sun hitting your bifocals.
You walk with your head held high trying to get used to your bifocals.
You feel like the night before, and you haven't been anywhere.
Your little black book contains only names ending in MD
You get winded playing chess.
Your children are beginning to look middle-aged.
You join a health club and don't go.
You decide to procrastinate but then never get around to it.
A dripping faucet causes an uncontrollable bladder urge.
You look forward to a dull evening.
Your favorite part of the newspaper is "25 years ago today".
You sit in a rocking chair and can't make it go.
Your knees buckle and your belt won't.
You stop looking forward to your next birthday.
You're startled the first time you're addressed as an "old-timer".
You just can't stand people who are intolerant.
The best part of your day is over when your alarm clock goes off.
You burn the midnight oil after 9:00 p.m.
Your back goes out more than you do.
The little gray-haired lady you help across the street is your wife.
You get exercise acting as a pallbearer for your friends who exercise.
You have too much room in the house and not enough in the medicine cabinet.
You sink your teeth into a steak and they stay there.
You stop to think and forget to start again.
You realize that caution is the only thing you care to exercise.
You are cautioned to slow down by the doctor, instead of the state police.
You read in the paper about an accident and the victim is referred to as
elderly. When you see the age of the victim, you realize he is the same age
that you are. Elderly?

>Bake, This has to be your best birthday ever,
just think of all the practice you have had.

Happy Birthday, Love from your
