Jeremy had tubes in his ears for several years. "[A]ccording to a study presented Wednesday at the annual meeting of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology in Palm Desert, Calif., more than half of a group of 248 children who had undergone the surgery in both ears experienced improvements in their physical symptoms, hearing ability and level of distress." We could not agree more!
Jeremy has an atrial septal defect. ASD is present in 4 out of 100,000 people. The World Wide Web has been an invaluable source of information about congenital birth defects. Recent news articles about Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, such as Ariel Sharon to Undergo Heart Procedure, put the odds of having an ASD much higher.
Jeremy also has pulmonary valve stenosis. It affects about 1 out of 8000 infants.
At least eight of every 1,000 infants born each year have a heart defect.

I found this Web site on AskMen.com. There's a link to it on Rexanna's Page.
