It isn't confirmed as to whether Nick is going to actually be in these episodes, it really depends on when he finishes filming in New Zealand.
Basically, these episodes are a continuation of Mulder and Scully's interaction with the Rebels and Samantha. The story starts with our two favorite agents investigating parents who kidnap their own children, which is how Samantha is probably tied in.
Here's what Autumn had to say:
OK. First of all Sein Und Zeit is part 1 of 2. The story is continued in 7X11, unititled as of yet. I previously told you that Sein Und Zeit had to do with parents
suspected of abducting their own children. Some of you speculated we might be covering some Samantha territory as well because of the content. You are right.
There's even a Santa Claus killer named Ed Truelove involved that has done a number of murders in this two parter that Mulder even hopes a la Paper Hearts might
lead to some clues about Samantha. Well, there's a twist. A big one. Now please remember that this comes from the original draft of part 1 and God knows after
Two Fathers/One Son and Biogenesis those things can change dramatically. However, in the original script of episode ten Mulder's Mom dies. And it appears to be
suicide.
At the official site, you`ll find a clip of the ep:
The scene takes place in the hallway as Mulder meets Skinner.
They are discussing the disappearance of Amber Lynn Lapierre:
Skinner: "Why are you here, Agent Mulder?"
Mulder: "I want this case." Skinner: "I`m terribly certain I got more that enough competent agents in here."
Mulder: "I can see that."
Skinner: "This is a kidnapping. A little girl snatched from her
bedroom. Basic missionary style of FBI work. It`s not an X-File."
Mulder: "What are the facts?"
Skinner: "We`re pretty sure we know what happened. We`re
trying to rule out all possibilities before we start making any
statements."
Mulder: "That`s what I`m talking about, ruling out another
possibility."
Skinner: "I can`t just give you the case. I have a protocol to
follow here. VCU gets first crack, then NSNEC."
Mulder: "In a few hours this case is going to be a circus. Every
starstruck attorney in America is gonna want to represent these
people for free. Somebody doesn`t ask the right questions right
now they may never get asked."
Skinner: "Mulder? The agents in my office, they have a pool
going."
Mulder: "They think the girl`s dead."
Mulder walks past Skinner.
Mulder: "Don`t bet on it."
Also from the Offical Site: SCULLY
Mulder, what are you
doing?
MULDER
There's something in
that abduction letter
I've seen before --
SCULLY
-- That's not what I mean. You're personalizing this
case. Identifying with your sister.
MULDER
My sister was taken by aliens. Did I say anything
about aliens?
Here's something from Iona from the message boards (I'm not really sure how reliable this is):
Question: How do we learn that Scully spent the night
at Mulders?
Answer: We have a scene that takes place the following
morning. Knock at Mulder's apartment - Skinner. Scully
answers the door....fully clothed (even shoes!!!
Haven't figured that out!!) and has a bit of an
attitude if I do say so myself. Her hair is disheveled
and Mulder is on the couch. I don't know where she
came from... Scully answers the door. Skinner says the
case is heating up and that he and Mulder need to get
back on it. Scully reminds Skinner that it's not a
good time. Mulder comes to the door behind Scully.
Skinner tells him has booked two seats out. Mulder
nods and walks away. Scully looks at Skinner....with
THE look...and tells him he's going to have to make it
three!
Question: Does he thank her for doing so, or we get a
scene were M&S wake in each others arms (sofa, or
bed)?
Answer:Not that I know of.
~~~New Scene:~~~~
Mulder is in Skinner's office being reprimanded for
the press conference he gives concerning the
disappearance of a little girl. Skinner wants Mulder
to explain his comments....basically Skinner is
clueless about how Mulder reasons....same as always :)
Skinner is demanding some hard evidence from
Mulder....not just "fairy tales", I think he might
say. Scully comes in (without knocking...gotta love
that!).
Scully: Sir?
Skinner: What is it Agent Scully?
Scully: I need to have a word with Agent Mulder.
Skinner: It can wait!
Scully: No! It can't, sir.
Mulder: What is it, Scully?
Scully: Mulder, your Mom's dead.
Beautifully done by GA. She is gentle but very strong.
She is broken-hearted about delivering this news.
Back to Scully at Mulder's apartment after having
spent the night
Scully answers the door. Skinner says the case is
heating up and that he and Mulder need to get back on
it. Scully reminds Skinner that it's not a good time.
Mulder comes to the door behind Scully. Skinner tells
him has booked two seats out. Mulder nods and walks
away. Scully looks at Skinner....with THE look...and
tells him he's going to have to make it three!
Mulder had originally requested to work on this case.
We see Mulder's involvement...but solo. Scully isn't
with him.
But, after this....and with Skinner booking himself
and Mulder seats....Scully is making very clear she
won't let Mulder out of her sight.
That Mulder believes her is proof of the trust. His
breakdown is the settling in of this truth. And, he
lets her see him broken...and lets her hold him.
Question: can you walk us through the him collapsing
scene? So he's in the chair, then you say she ends up
basically supporting him, does he fall forward into
her arms, does she reach for him and pull her down? Do
his arms go around her at any point.
Answer:: He becomes angry. Stands and rattles the
desk. She stands to stop him. He turns on her and
points in her face, "She was trying to tell me
something!" He collapses back into his chair...hits
the arm, "She was trying to tell me something." He is
sobbing by this time. He cowers back into the
chair...head hanging over the arm....eyes covered with
his arms. She immediately moves to him and rubs his
back and head and attempts to pull him into her
stomach. He pulls away. Cowers even more. She squats
and holds onto his knee. She says, "She was trying to
take away your pain." She is teared up by this point.
He reaches for her. And, cries into her shoulder. She
readily receives him and kisses the back of his neck
while holding his back and head. She says, "She was
trying to take away your pain" once more. And,
continues to kiss his neck. She just stays that way.
Her lips pressed on the back of his neck. Question:
..and did you ever devulge clothes..not that I care
about the clothes, I swear I don't :)
Answer: She's wearing a long, black jacket pant suit
with a light blue button up shirt. Very nice! He's
sporting the jeans and gray t-shirt look!(Amy falls to
floor by this point)
~~~New Scene:~~~~
Before his mother's death, Mulder has just entered a
roomful of agents (Skinner included) and, basically,
tells them they're wrong. Scully follows him out. She
finds him in the office. He's searching through files.
She says he can't say things like that...especially
when he doesn't have hard evidence. (Oops! Slipped in
the gutter. Let me crawl back out....tired....need
SLEEP! *g*) He says he's right and he'll prove it.
Finds the file. Flips it open and points. She looks at
it. Looks back up. He winks. Cute.
Dennis from Spoilerville on the title:
"Sein Und Zeit" is German for "being and time." MARTIN HEIDEGGER's [1889-1976] Master Work, SEIN UND ZEIT, remains one of the most important and
difficult works of 20th Century philosophy. HEIDEGGER paved the road trod on by the existentialists with the 1927 publication of BEING AND TIME. His
encyclopedic knowledge of philosophy from ancient to modern times led him to rethink the most basic concepts underlying our thinking about ourselves.
Emphasizing the "sense of being" [dasein] over other interpretations of conscious existence, he argued that specific and concrete ideas form the bases of our
perceptions, and that thinking about abstractions leads to confusion at best. Thus, for example, "time" is only meaningful as it is experienced: the time it takes to drive
to work,eat lunch, or read a book is real to us; the concept of "time" is not.
This is a two parter, the second half is called Closure so far. When I have more specific information on both episodes I'll add a page for that episode as well. |
