My mom and dad separately immigrated(My dad is from Hong Kong, mom was born in Mainland China) to the U.S. in 1956 to attend college. They met each other at a college mixer, and was subsequently married in 1960. I was born on October 5, 1961 in Queens, N.Y. and lived there until I was three, when my sister was born. Like many families in New York City, we moved out to the suburbs of Long Island, and lived the next ten years on the South Shore in the Five-Towns area of Nassau County. We then moved to the North Shore of LI to a town called Muttontown(No, we did not raise Muttons). I attended Jericho High School and upon graduating in 1979, attended college at The State University of New York at Albany in Albany, N.Y. I graduated in 1983 with a B.A. in Sociology, and started work at Chemical Bank, in their Management Training Program. I am still employed with the bank, although after two mega-mergers, we are now The Chase Manhattan Bank. My current position with the bank is that of Project Manager for ChaseSmart, which is our internal manpower planning and MIS software program. I currently live on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, with a wonderful view of The Museum of Natural History. My parents still live on Long Island, as does my sister, with her husband and my niece Kendra and nephew Chandler.
I purchased my first computer in November,1995 and currently have a Dell Computer(300Pentium II with 64Mb RAM and 6.4Gb Hard Drive). Now I am hooked surfing the Internet and chatting on IRC!
