I can give you some addresses for womyn's land in S. Oregon. Womanshare is in Murphy, just outside Grants Pass. It's about an hour or so car drive from Ashland. They have a guest cabin and also space for camping. There is a mainhouse with a fully equiped kitchen, and they also have an outdoor hot tub. They welcome visitors. Their address and telephone number is: PO Box 681, Grants Pass, OR 97526, (541) 862-2807. Rates are on a sliding scale from $10-30 per night. If you intend to travel further north you could visit OWL Farm in Days Creek, which is 25 miles from Canyonville. Owl is much more rustic than Womanshare - no electricity, no hot running water. There is a mainhouse with a kitchen with a propane stove, no refrigerator. There are a a couple of cabins and a old chicken coop renovated into cozy living and visitor spaces. There are 147 acres, part of it meadow, part of it forest. It is very peaceful and beautiful. I love the land. I lived there for a year and a half in the early '90s. My friends Reilly and Anne have land in Southern Oregon and invite family to camp there. It's called the Kalles Family Campground. This is their Web site. I haven't been there there myself; however, I know Reilly and Anne and they are *wonderful*, so I'm sure their land is wonderful as well. This is Reilly's email address: rkalles@pioneer-net.com Membership is $5 per year per person, or $7 per couple (they honor gay marriages). After that, the RV or tent rate is $12 per night for 2 people plus $2 for hookups if you need them. Non-membership rate is $16 for 2 people, plus hookups. In addition, they have two large travel trailers for rent. One has a double bed, the other has 2 singles. There is a washhouse with shower and bathroom, completely furnished outdoor kitchen, refrigerator, stove, pool table, screened dining room. Children are welcome.

I also found a women-only B&B listed in the "Inn Places" guide that sounds wonderful: Whispering Pines Bed & Breakfast/Retreat in Rogue River, Ore. It's owned by a lesbian couple, Lorna and Karen, and has 32 acres and a pool. There are two rooms ($65 and $75) and an apartment ($60) for rent. The rooms include breakfast and have a shared bathroom; the apartment has a full kitchen and uses an outdoor composting toilet. There's a 10% discount for three nights or more.
