Music
Music truly feeds my soul. What else can I say? So what if my friends make fun of what I listen to?
My favorite band is Erasure, composed of the sublimely talented Andy Bell and Vince Clarke. I love them both. Their music is the soundtrack of my life. Skiman thinks so too. Actually, I used to be a BIG fan of Depeche Mode (Martin Gore, Alan Wilder, Andrew Fletcher, and David Gahan), and still am, to some extent, but I've since converted to the much purer and more musically evolved Erasure. Kellie and I argue about this constantly.
Aside from Erasure . . .
- Dead Can Dance are Lisa Gerard and Brendan Perry. Their music is the soundtrack in heaven.
- The Cocteau Twins are Elizabeth Frazier, Simon Raymonde, and Robin Guthrie. Their music is in God's personal CD player.
- Dewdrops is an e-zine which will give you info on DCD and the Cocteau Twins, as well as all of the bands which try to sound like them.
- MODified Alternative Music is one of the best music stores I've ever seen. It's located in Salt Lake City.
- Take A Bite is your one-stop resource for all things gothic and industrial. Love it; need it.
- Jim's Music and Gothic Stuff is your other one-stop resource for all things gothic.
- andrewb's otehr sites is, I suppose, your LAST one-stop resource blah blah blah.
- Gothic Home Page (VampLestat's Gothic Server) -- okay. Last one, I promise.
- Projekt is a great record label. Lycia, one of my favorite bands, is on it.
- Cleopatra Records is another good label. SwitchBlade Symphony. Need I say more?
- S.I.C. is dedicated to keeping music evil. I am too.
