Editor's Corner by Rich
Well, another month has passed and we have a change in the monthly party. The November party will be at TJ's lovely townhouse in Lorton. I hate to bring up ugly news, but items have been reported missing from the host's home after the party. This is unconscionable and the first time in our 21 year history that something like this has occurred. We have never had to assign a member to police our parties and I hope we never will.
15 brave souls braved the early evening rain storm to attend Boom's scrumptious Oktoberfest in his very tastefully renovated home. The food was great (German ethnic delights) and 7 first time guests attended.
I will continue to bring registration applications to the socials for all of ABC's upcoming events (Convergence, East Coast Conference and West Coast Conference) in case someone may be considering attending one or all of these functions.
Remember, if you order left-over Convergence 2003 t-shirts at one party, I will be bringing them to the very next party. Again, the prices are 1 for $5.00, 2 for $8.00 and 4 for $15.00.
Till next month.
Hugs,
R
Well, I am a mess! First, I caught that nasty cold up in White Plains during Convergence which never wanted to go away. So I had to miss the September social. Then all the coughing I did from that cold sprained my chest muscles and back!! So I missed the October social. Hopefully, I will be able to attend the November social at TJ's in Lorton. (Please see details below) But my compnay is scheduled to move one weekend in November so let's keep our fingers crossed it's not the weekend of November 20th!!
I think we have finally worked out all the bugs we have been having with the newsletter. Please accept our apologies for not getting the newsletter out in a timely manner. We promise to be much better in the future!

There wasn't a Board meeting in October because there was no quorum.
Monthly Social, November 20, 2004 - Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner in Lorton, VA.
Our November social will be held at TJ's townhome in Lorton, VA. We haven't had a potluck dinner in a long time so here we go. The festivities start at 7pm and run until we get tired, full or both!!
The social will be free to members who bring a dish (see assignments below) and $5 for members who don't bring a dish. Returning guests who bring a dish will be charged $5 and $9 for those who don't bring a dish. First-time guests will be free regardless of whether they bring a dish or not. The club will provide a turkey and ham, sodas, plates, napkins and utensils. If you do bring a dish, and we hope you do, please bring enough to serve at least 5 people.
