Note: Somehow I've managed to misplace many of the intro page writings from 2001 and 2000. I'll try to recover what I can, but this page may never be complete. Although I think the Internet will survive without this bit of information, it kind of bugs me that I've lost it.

I just updated the Links page. I think the whole site is due for a makeover, but I'm not going to promise anything. One reason for that is, I've been playing with another web site and it's possible that I'll someday be switching everything over to that one. But until I do, I'll keep it a secret. For now, all the fun stuff will still be here.
I do need to say that my e-mail address is changing to songdog@ix.netcom.com. I'm going to give up the AOL address soon. I know this website still refers in many places to AOL. So more updates will likely be coming.
So what's new in my life? Not too much. Working way too hard. Trying to record a CD of original songs in my spare time at home. Wondering how come all my leather shrunk. And drinking a lot of coffee. Not terribly thrilling, but hey.
See something you like? Or something you don't? Drop me an e-mail at (mention new address again) songdog@ix.netcom.com.

Happy Birthday, U.S.A., number 224.... it's time for my quarterly update of this site. I originally planned to update things more often, but sometimes life intervenes and next thing you know, everything's out of date and you realize you've looked pretty dumb for gawd knows how long because all your mailto links went bad when you changed e-mail addresses. (So THAT'S why no one is writing me....) So, I've updated the contact info on almost every page on this site with a link to a handy contact page that not only gives my e-mail address, but also has a handy form for you to fill out and send. (Thank you Yahoo! Geocities.) And, in case you haven't noticed yet, I've started installing debonair little buttons off to the right side to link to the pages in the inside the site. Nifty, eh?
I'm hoping to do more work on the site as time goes on. But don't hold your breath - I'd like to be more customer focused, but I'm just way too busy with a new project at work and with finishing up my CD. I'm thinking the CD will be finished and available in September. I'm praying the project at work doesn't finish me first. I'll be at the Blissfest Traditional Music Festival up north over the July 7-9 weekend, and it ought to be a great deal of fun. Check out the link to find out what I'll be hearing and doing.

Welcome! Glad that you stopped by. Put your feet up and check out a
few pages. The menu's at the right. If you've been here before, well, there
isn't much new here. But if you haven't come this way before, it's all
new, then, isn't it?
In case you're wondering, I'm a big furry longhaired
musical guy who likes photography, leather, and lots of other stuff. I've
been shaggy or longhaired for most of my life, but there was a time when
I threw it all away -- the story of that is in the "Hair
(and no hair)" link. As a matter of fact, it's the third anniversary
of my last head shave. Just by coincidence, I bought myself a new pair
of boots, which are pictured below.
As I'm writing this little spiel, it's sunny and warm and breezy outside.
Springtime in Michigan, ahhh. Means I have to go mow grass before my nice
suburban yard becomes a jungle. No, I won't be wearing a loincloth
when I do the mowing. The neighbors don't quite deserve *that*.
Oh, if you have a few extra minutes, check out my
page at mp3.com. There are songs I've written and recorded that you
can download and hear and even CDs that you can buy if you like acoustic
folk/rock music.

I've written a new Musing, now that I've gotten over some of the grief over the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. It's called In the Aftermath, though I suppose I could write several essays with that title. This one talks about the possibility of a military counterattack, which is what our leaders have been talking about at great length. I've read articles in several online sources that have helped me to think about the issues a lot, and I have to say that, well, I dunno. What should we do? But I'm giving my essay away if I say anything more, so go read it.
In other news. . . I've updated the Detroit Leather page -- finally! I received two e-mails in August suggesting that I do so, and when I went to the page this week I sheepishly realized that it had been three years since I'd updated it. That's a bit long, don't you think? *selfbap* Sorry about that. It's actually the most-visited page on my whole site, so I hope to do better about updates in the future.
Thanks for stopping by. If you see anything you like, please let me know.
