Yes, It's me!Born in Hamar, Norway, I grew up in the town of Elverum, not far from Sweden, so the move here came quite naturally. Like "everybody else", I used to assemble Volvos, but became unemployed for a while. I am currently employed with Emmaus Björkå, a charity organization which helps organizations in several developing countries with second hand clothes and financial support, among other things. Most of the aid from the division in Gothenburg goes to Mozambique in southern Africa. I studied to get a "C" driver's license for trucks (lorries) last winter, and am now their "backup driver". I live in a one bedroom apartment, close to nature. I enjoy hiking in the nearby Vättlefjäll nature reserve, maybe resting by a lake with a skewer and some hot dogs by the fire. For those of you who just "have to know" , I am 183 cm (6'1"), blondish, blue-eyed, and working on my 90 kg (some 200 lb.). In my early teens I wanted to become an architect, then a diplomat, and, finally, my dream was to get an MBA. Meaning my artistic skills got suppressed for more practical ones. My hunger for the world was somewhat satisfied when I was 17 and became an exchange student in Rochester, Minnesota – "the best place in the world to get sick" – for a year. After graduating from high school in both the U.S. and Norway, and a not very successful effort to acquire some computer skills at the Hedmark College at Rena, Norway, I went back across the Atlantic. This time to Canada. To the University of Windsor, in Windsor, Ontario – right next to Detroit – to study business administration. I had a GREAT year with lots of partying and learned a lot about life. My next way station was 15 months in the Royal Norwegian Air Force. THEN I moved to Sweden. In search of a job. After over ten years here, I have settled in quite nicely - and I love Gothenburg! The people are jovial and hard-working with a somewhat peculiar sense of humour. And the climate is much milder than in my part of Norway. Besides Norwegian, I speak
Swedish and English quite fluently. I can also make myself understood in
Danish, French, and Spanish. I love travelling, and so far in life, I have
been to 16 countries, where one of my favourites is Spain.
