Information on the situation for homosexuals in Aruba:

Information on the G/L/B/T situation on Aruba is scarce on the Internet. Being a Dutch colony, I expect the laws not to be much different from liberal Holland. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Aruba stepped out of the Netherlands Antilles in 1986, as a separate colony under the Netherlands. It was agreed that Aruba would achieve independence
ten years later (thus in 1996). The governments of Aruba and the Netherlands, however, agreed that Aruba will stay part of the Kingdom of the Neterlands and will not become an independent state in 1996. There is no other date set.
