Not mentioned Bhutan is a very beautiful, small kingdom in the Himalayas. It is often characterized as the last Shangri-La. It has very strict rules and regulations on tourism, in fact, tourism wasn't allowed until 1974. Before that, you'd have to sneak across the border from India to see this, to a westerner, mysterious country. I couldn't find much information about the situation for homosexuals in Bhutan. A couple of sources claim that it's illegal. I have also received information that homosexuality is not illegal, meaning there are no laws against it, as long as it is not displayed in public. If you have any further information
on the current situation in Bhutan, please contact
me.
