The age of consent in the
United Kingdom, of which the Channel Islands are not a part, was lowered
to 16 for all sexual relations on June 22, 1998. I don't know whether the
age of consent was lowered from 17 to 16 in Northern Ireland as well. Anal
intercourse ("sodomy") between men is illegal! For more information, see

You must be 17 years to
drive a motor car and light motorcycle in Jersey; at 20(!) years or over
you can get married (hetero, of course) without your parents' consent.
