Information on the situation for homosexuals in the Faroe Islands:

Legal

I have not found much information about the situation for homosexuals on the Faroe Islands. Being part of the Danish realm, the basic human rights are the same as in the mother country. The Faroe Islands is, however, a self-governing territory, and I haven't found much specific information regarding the situation for homosexuals. Same-sex marriages were allowed in Denmark in 1989, and Greenland, a territory in the Danish realm that enjoys similar self-governing rights as these islands, followed suit in 1994. The Faroe Islands, however, has not (yet) adopted the Partnership Law.
