Information on the situation for homosexuals in Hungary: Legal Efforts are being made to eliminate the unequal age of consent laws, deeming them as unconstitutional. After all, homosexuals (and heteros alike) can register partnerships in Hungary! Now, seven countries and territories in all have introduced similar laws: Denmark, Norway, Greenland, Sweden, Iceland, Hungary, and the Netherlands.

The state does not encourage gay men to become teachers or join the military.
