For instance, gay content in Dutch TV programmes have been censored by TeleCuraçao. The trend is towards more openness, though. I have not found much information on the situation for homosexuals. In 1995, a new gay organization was formed on Curaçao: Apex. They especially aim at helping and informing the youth and have set up a gay switchboard to help and answer questions regarding homosexuality and coming out.
