I was wondering what took you so long to make it to the party out here. I hope you are not too tired of getting to know me because this is the place you will find out how and where I party. I am going to take you on a virtual tour of the Souths hottest nightspots and party places. I hope you come back to visit me sometime soon. This site will always change and be updated so you won't see the same old thing time after time. There are hamburgers and steaks on the grill, so grab a cold one, have a seat by the pool and let's PARTY!

This format is not as it will be when this project is finished, much like the other rooms. In this edition, you will find out some of the best places to party, dance, and get down within the Southeast region. I came out of the closet back in 1993, and my first experience with the "gay" world was in New Orleans, Louisiana. As you can imagine, I was spoiled and forever changed since that cold February day outside of the Bourbon Street Pub and Parade!

NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA - This is possibly the most magical city in the United States if not in the entire world. For all of you foreigners and yankees who have not yet experienced the "Big Easy", I hope you pay close attention as I tell you about this wonderful hub city of happenings. Besides all the wonderful cajun cuisine and many historical points of interest the Crescent City has to offer, the nightlife for gays and lesbians is second to no city I have ever been to. Below you will find a recommended list of nightspots, eateries, and attractions that all serve the gay and lesbian community. Have fun!

Must go to nightclubs:
The Bourbon Street Pub/Parade Disco -
This and Oz, across the street, are THE places to go in New Orleans. Most people go back and forth from club to club, or if you are like me, you stand outside and watch the people as they go by, usually in their druken state. The crowd here is a bit more diverse than at Oz during the week, but on Fridays and Saturdays, it is mostly young, stand and model types. Downstairs is a friendly neighborhood bar with great camp music favorites and a video DJ to entertain you. They mix the hottest dance videos usually with shots of beautiful men from Mardi Gras and Decadence. Upstairs is the Parade Disco. There is usually a small cover charge for upstairs, but never for downstairs. There is a typical New Orleans style wrap around balcony where you can get away from the smoke and loud music and watch all the straight people down Bourbon Street yelling, "Show mw your tits!" This is a very cruisy area where virtually anyone can get picked up for the evening. They play your typical high energy dance favorites in here and it is always crowded. The bartenders are usually hot and generous, but only with the pourer!

OZ - Oz always is competing with the Bourbon Pub, but fortunately there are enough queers to go around for both clubs. The clientele is similiar, but more women and lesbians come here. The dance floor is fairly small, but always packed. It too has a wrap around balcony upstairs so you can cruise the hot guys across the street. The view is excellent, and you will usually find the better looking guys over here, although I prefer the Pub/Parade because of the atmosphere and music. The bartenders and bouncers tend to be a bit snotty and into themselves, but other than that, this is the most popular gay bar in town. Did I mention that all the bars in New Orleans are open 24 hours a day?

I wanted to have this finished sooner, but due to the extraordinary amount of work and time, this particular room along with the other unfinished rooms in the house will be up by this weekend. I hope it doesn't inconvenience anyone, but I hope it would entice you to check my site out again later this weekend. See you then!
