Summer is almost over and fall is right around the corner! We all know what that means! Are you ready for some FOOTBALL? I know I am. When it was written in the Bible that Sundays were to be considered sacred and holy, they weren't kidding! I think they intended that for me and my day of football. I know sports isn't the most popular subject with gay people, but I am the exception to the rule! In this room, you will get to know my favorites and the ones I hate! As with all the other rooms, this layout will change in the next few days so make sure you come back and visit.

KEVINS KORNER

If you are into football pools and betting on teams, then this is the place to be. Although I do not work at a booking parlor in Vegas, I have been at this for over 8 years now. My percentage is around 75% on NFL games straight up, and even higher against the spread which ain't half bad for a novice like myself. Below you will find my preseason picks for the upcoming 1997-98 NFL season. Forgive me if I seem to be a bit biased when it comes to the Vikings. This chart will stay up for the remainder of the season so you can track my progress. Once the season gets underway, you will find below it my weekly picks both straight up and against the spread. In case any of you didn't know, I am a die hard, extremist when it comes to my favorite team, the Minnesota Vikings. I will have extensive coverage on the Vikes as Denny Green and the boys will try to stave off those pesky cheeseheads with former USM alum, Brett "the drunken, drugged up, bar brawling" Favre. Of course he has won the NFL's MVP award the last two years. The Vikings were only one of 3 teams to beat Green Bay last season, and they look even better this year if RB Robert Smith can stay healthy. The Vikings aquired former Eagle quarterback Randall Cunnigham during the off season to replace the grandpa of QB's, Warren Moon who went off to Seattle. I honestly think Randall will be more than a backup before the season ends, but hey....what do I know? Stay tuned for information on Minnesota and the other 29 teams looking to win the Super Bowl this year.

It wouldn't be possible for all these famous and rich professional athletes in the NFL to be where they are without their respective colleges and universities. I am as much a fan of Saturday afternoon college games as I am with the pros on Sunday. I will also be putting up weekly picks for different college games throughout the season both straight up and against the spread as well. Below you will find my KP TOP 15 POLL. Of course going to USM, I will have loads of information on the Golden Eagles season as well as all the marquee matchups every week. If USM upsets the Florida Gators on opening day, all drinks are on me!

They don't have an easy task this year as the reigning co-champion of Conference USA by opening their season with 3 straight road games. Wanna guess who they play first? Try last years national champion, Florida Gators. Maybe I should just go ahead and write their obituary for next season. They also make their perennial trek to Alabama, and then to Tennessee to face probable Heisman trophy winner, Peyton Manning. For someone who doesn't know, it probably looks like USM is in the SEC. I do have faith that we can win at least one of these games. Listen to what I say!
