Sydney Olympic Stadium
We went and visited the Olympic Stadium in April (which I'm sure everyone was be sick of by the end of September 2000), because Simon was doing the Olympic Marathon.
Here's a photo of the outside. The spirally thing to the left is where people will walk in and out if they're going to the seats way way way up the top.
This is the area where buses etc will drop people off and people will generally mingle. It's HUGE, and as far as the eye can see, it's paved. I wonder who got that contract!
And here is the inside of the largest stadium in Australia (where the Opening and Closing Ceremonies etc are held). Recently, they set a world record for the number of people in a stadium at one event.
