Sydney (as a tourist) Part Two

The Art Gallery. Haven't been inside yet, but the outside looks nice.

This is the Botanical Gardens.  They're HUGE.  Well worth a visit, if only to contrast other cities.

Here is one of the famous "bat trees" in the Botanical Gardens.  Fruit bats hang upside down during the day.  I'd never seen bats before I came to Sydney.

Part of the city as seen from the Botanical Gardens.

Onward to the waterfront... here is a shot of the Sydney Harbour Bridge as seen from the Opera House.

If you look carefully at the photo above, and this one, you'll see that they had almost finished putting the Olympic rings on the Harbour Bridge.

This building (on the right) was the one that Tom Cruise descended into in the Mission Impossible 2 movie, filmed mainly in and around Sydney.

The building on the left is also quite interesting. The high wall on the right is translucent when it is between the sun and the viewer, so it makes for a nice view towards sunset when viewed from Potts Point.

While the Olympic Games are being held in Sydney, they've put some huge Olympic rings above Martin Place near where I work.
