Well, here goes!  I'm voting for Al Gore, and why?

My flippant answer is because Al is dull.  I know how it is to be less exciting on the outside than the next guy.  Like me, there's probably an incredibly creative and caring guy on the inside of Al's intelligent and focused demeanor.

My more serious answer is because of:

The US Supreme Court [Church-state separation, reproductive choice, gay rights, ethnic minority rights, and environmental legislation].  I believe that Vice President Gore is on the right side of these issues.

Al Gore has the knowledge and experience that his opponent lacks.  With Gore, we will get a knowledgeable and experienced president, but also one who can be supported by a knowledgeable and experienced set of advisors.

If we elect the major opponent, we elect an unsuccessful/failed businessman, and an inexperienced leader.  We get a leader who does not like to responsibly lead, and put the time and energy into being a leader, yet enjoys being a token or symbolic leader and role model.

And last, at lest for this piece, I vote for Al Gore in protest for all the ethnic minority (black especially) brothers who are behind bars and cannot vote due to the three-strikes laws.  They are where George W. Bush might have been and perhaps should in all fairness be today.  Because of your silence "W" you show your un-compassionate conservatism for others who are experiencing what you have been spared.

While Gore had some political advantage with a politician father, he has been a dedicated worker and learner in his own right.  This is the kind of person I want to be in one of if not the most influential job on planet earth.  So Al, I hope you win and and thus we get the kind of leader that America and the World needs.
