CALYPSO is a youth-for-youth communications and resource organization formed by queer youth in January 1996. We currently service the provice of Ontario, with goals to become Canda's first national queer youth networking body.
Many organizations exist that offer various services to queer youth, but a centrally located resource centre is rare. CALYPSO hopes to slowly cure this problem. By publishing newsletters, facilitator hand books, the almanac; by hosting meetings, seminars, and retreats; and by offering networking and resource-sharing programs/projects, CALYPSO aims to unite queer youth and elated organizations from Vancouver to Toronto, to St. Johns.
CALYPSO is a not-for-profit alliance of youth under the age of 30 who, aside form the newsletter which is an on-going program, initiate projects to get queer youth in Canada communicating and sharing information.
It would be impossible to get you familiar with CALYPSO from this one page, so please browse our web site in its entirety.
