I was severely disturbed by that flick. The music had this eerie "fundamentalist porn" feel to it, and Jeesus came across as a seething psychopath who was, luckily, able to restrain himself and gain the respect of his contemporaries. I thought he was going to snap at any moment. Critics have said Pasolini was trying to appease the church, to fool them into ignoring subtle heresies, and then to point out ecclesiastic sloppiness and hypocrisy later. By Salo, I guess that was moot. Brian -----== Posted via Deja News, The Leader in Internet Discussion ==----- http://www.dejanews.com/ Now offering spam-free web-based newsreading
