Gosh, it has been a while since I last wrote here. The days seem to be just flying by. I have been working reasonably hard in the laboratory most of the time. I have decided to forget the mesitylene route and concentrate on making the trimesic acid analogue. The first step has worked which is good, now it is just a matter of reduction and bromination.
It's the long weekend this weekend, and the Katoomba ball is on. I won't be going but Szusza, Nikki, Jennifer and Michelle will all be heading up there. I'm going to try and get my presentation out of the way, every minute is necessary.
The treatment with Roaccutane has been going for about two weeks now. My skin has become very dry. My lips are chapped and the skin around my mouth is broken up making it hard to eat properly. I also have had a bad reoccurrence of dandruff and going to the toilet is also rather painful. I sure hope this treatment clears things up as soon as possible.
I have found that if I don't shower then my skin gets much better. Unfortunately long hot showers are the one thing I love. I will try to only have one every two days. Yucky I know, but thankfully it is winter and therefore I do not tend to get too smelly.
I think my brother may be back in the country, to get his knee repaired, so that is good. What else? Everybody is busy gearing up for exams. I'm hoping that we will all get together for another camping trip. I should try to remember to bring this up at coffee on Friday.
I've also being considering telling L- and H- about my web-site, but I want to try and get an indicator about possible reaction especially in regards to L- whom I find very hard to judge these days. Today is Thursday, so it is payday. I'll give $400 to John's and then buy the Northern Exposure II CD. Anyway, it's 3:10 am and I'm off to bed.

In a world of black and white, it takes a lot of courage to be gray. It takes even more courage to live that way.
What is gender? One can approach the concept from a number of angles. Genetic gender relates to the chromosome number. Social gender refers to the societal role assigned to a particular person. Mental gender is what a person thinks they truly are.
