Wow, that has to be the most effective weight-loss program ever developed. Run ~ 5 km through the cold of a Canberra night. I'm not sure how many calories got burnt up by jogging, but I'm sure the cold must have doubled them. I went over to Commonwealth bridge and back again. This was my first training run for the city-to-surf which is two weeks away. I got a phone call from Soba this evening. She was ringing from Ben's place which she is sitting. She and Sarah had been up on the Gold Coast for the last week. Sarah had been at a conference and Soba had taken a week off to party with her. Soba then flew back to Adelaide, drove her car home and caught a bus to Sydney to be at Ben's place. She said she was trying to con Sarah into driving her down so that we could all get together, and so that she could catch a plane or bus back to SA. If she and Sarah can come down it would be really great, I haven't seen either of them in so long.
I've been procrastinating over this report again, it's open on my desktop, but I haven't accomplished much on it. It's the second half of the discussion which is the real bugger. Today I got up early, did some work on my homepage, kept checking my email in case Nikki or Szusza had replied (not yet) and eventually went into the lab at 12:00 pm. Messed about, did some experimental work and a little bit of computer work. Quite a surprise was my supervisor who dropped by about 1:30 pm and with whom I had a quick chat. I hope I looked like the diligent student. C**** dropped by at 2:00 pm, so it was quite a busy weekend day at the lab. The day like most Canberran winter days was bright yet cold.
Thankfully my snit from yesterday was cured, I apologized to Red, she is a bit upset, things seem to be a little chaotic for her at the moment.
On a happier note, I don't want to sound confident, but *fingers crossed* I think my skin is getting better. :) *touch wood*
Also on a medical basis, I was reading my copy of "Clinical handbook of Psychotropic Drugs" and was looking at what they were saying about the anti-androgens. Unfortunately they are listed under "sex-drive depressants", but the pharmacology say that "androgen levels decline over 28 days, then tend to rise towards pre-drug level."
So does that mean that my testosterone levels will only be suppressed for a month? Unfortunately there seems to be little data on TS's who have been on an Androcur only course.
Just got an email from Nikki, very nice to hear from her. I think it's time to take a shower. Fortunately, the one good thing about jogging through a Canberra winter night is that you don't sweat very hevaily. ;)
