6:30 pm Thursday 5th August 1999

Hmmmmm, well today was interesting I guess. I missed my dermatologists appointment which was on 4:45 pm Wednesday, not Thursday as I somehow led myself to believe. What else have I been up to?
Yesterday I went into work and was utterly bored the entire day. I came home and bludged about. About 12:00 am I put on my cape and went over to the lab. I spent about an hour and a half printing out old emails so I could delete them. I used the flash new Xerox printer, so it was reasonably fast. I cleaned up maybe ~100 messages which was just over 400 K. came back home and went to bed about 2:00 am.
Today I thought there was going to be a lecture course which I had begrudgingly agreed to go to. I got into the lab early and found it had been cancelled. I tried doing some work, but I was incredibly uninspired, and I was so bored that by 12:00 pm I said stuff this and left. I went into Civic and bought myself a new CD player ($85). It's pretty snazzy, and much better than my old one. :) I went to Impact and bought the second "Rage against the Machine" album. As I was standing at the counter I looked to my right and there was Julie! We chatted a bit, she asked about my doctor's appointment and I told her that I was on 200 mg of Androcur and then we parted ways. For some reason I just keep running into the Canberra T* community out of the blue.
I kicked around in the afternoon until I found out about the stuff up with my appointment. Thankfully I was able to rebook for 1:30 pm on the 11th, which is exactly when my medication will run out, so that was lucky.
I have to go for another run tonight, I might go earlier than usual so that I can have a shower before 1:00 am for a change.
Sometimes I wonder why I post these diary entries on my page, I know people will read them, and more importantly people I know well will read them too. I might have to email Jen and ask why…
Just emailed Jen, I guess that's what you call "being spontaneous".

11:05 pm – Ok, back to this entry. Went for a run to the bridge at ~9:00 am, got back had a shower and went to see Susan. Jules was back late because he had started work that day! Off to watch TV in a sec…

12:50 am – OK, just a quick wrap-up before I head off to bed. Still no word from Soba as to when she will be coming through Canberra or anything to that effect. Have to email Nikki and Michelle. Just emailed Red who wants to put on a fancy dress ball sometime in September.
I ordered some chemicals which I know I need, but I don't know whether my supervisor thinks I need. Heck coupling is more expensive then the normal routes I am supposed to use, but hopefully it will have a greater chance of success. Hopefully the chemical will come through sometime next week and give me something interesting and novel to do. Lips are peeling badly, mucous membranes are dried out like Death valley, Ouch! Looks like I'll be eating through a straw for a bit longer. ;) Might be a quick way to lose weight though…
Tomorrow is supposed to be pizza and video at Burt street, I will probably go for the pizza, then the company and then the video.
Brain is empty, off to bed.
