11:45 pm Sunday 22nd August 1999

I know I haven't aged that quick, but staying up past midnight is becoming a real hassle. I'm trying to stay up late so I'll wake up late, but I can't stay up late... a vicious circle is looming...
What have I been up to? Not too much, had a quiet but insightful day and got a lot of writing done with some help from Bob.
I woke up about 8:30 am and had brunch. I did my laundry (4 machines full!) and went to the lab about 10:00 am. Left the lab about midday and went for a cycle about. I went to Coles but didn't really shop, I then went over behind the convention centre and crashed on the steps in the sun for a fair while. Eventually it got cloudy and I dropped off some mail and came home. I spent a fair bit of the afternoon chatting with Susan and Jules over Tim-Tam's; they are currently addicted to Civilization the game, and then I came down to the cave. Just vegged out listening to music for most of the afternoon/evening, walked over to where the football was being played and came back, ate but wasn't hungry, showered and that felt OK. Decided I felt bored enough at about 8:30 pm to walk over to the lab. Got my big coat and headed over. Once I got there I suddenly remembered I had C13 NMR time and so I was right on time. I set that up and sent an email to Jen saying hello and what not.
Came home about 10:30 pm, and enjoyed the walk so much that I went around to the oval and back again, the cold is pleasantly refreshing if you are rugged up for it.
OK, sent an email to Nikki and another to Michelle (whom I haven't heard from in quite a while) and now I'm writing this up.
Quotes for the day…

"Underneath this masculine shell is a beautiful, delicate female. Unfortunately they'll charge $40,000 to dig her out."

"My face isn't like 3000 year old papyrus, but I'm working on it."

"I'm afraid I wouldn't know "normal" if it came up behind me and sodomized me with a light-saber."

I also discovered that the three pillars of good Tranny humor for me seems to be 1) Sarcasm. 2) Irony. and 3) Self-depreciation. Hey, it works for me. ;)

12:35 am - Just had a power failure, but I don't think I lost anything from here. This is officially diary entry number 99. I changed the number so that it matched between my word documents and the web-page file number. The new sub-directories should make them easier to manage also. Soba mentioned that I had some broken links, but I have not yet been able to discover them.
