Thursday 17th October 1998

Ok, so I've had to break this up into three parts, so sue me… Anyway, if you're actually reading this, then it's your own fault for being nosy and wanting to know what's going on in my life.
Alright, I woke up at about 10:45am, and so I was very glad that I had packed everything away the night before. Ariel and I checked out at about 11:15am and caught a taxi to Central. Once there, we waited a ½ an hour for the train to Paramatta, and then the trip took us 40 minutes anyway. Met up with Szusza outside the town hall, and she had already finished shopping. I bought some more batteries for my CD player for the trip home, and we all went and dumped our stuff in Szusza's car. The trip back was quite long and boring, sitting in the front seat I got all the afternoon sun which was annoying, because it made the CD player heat up rather badly. Everybody was very tired, I slept for quite a way between Lake George and Canberra. We dropped Ariel off first and then Szusza dropped me back off at Johns. I was pretty out of it, I went up unpacked my stuff, and then headed off to dinner.
After dinner I crashed out, and woke up again at about 11pm. I took off my jersey and fell back to sleep. When I woke up again at 8am my lights and computer were still both on. I went back to sleep and surfaced again at 11am. I got up and went to work.
So all in all, it was a very fun weekend. Pity it was such a whirl-wind trip and that things ended up being a bit rushed, but I definitely enjoyed myself. I would have given the evening 8 ½ out of ten. It could have been better if there had been a few more people that I had known well and if I hadn't been so tired after the Ball finished. Nevertheless, I enjoyed myself immensely, and I hope that there will be more events like it coming up soon.
