Well, well, what an interesting day. I got woken up at about 9:15 am by Michelle, the young TS who I had organized to meet on Tuesday. It seemed that she had a few hours free, so we decided to meet in Civic and do coffee and maybe do some window shopping. I cycled in to meet her and was at the Rodan fountain at 11:30 am. I was there first, so I just read the paper which I had picked up. Shelly came along, and I had to admit that the photos on Szusza's site really don't do her justice. She is quite pretty, and from what I can tell, the hormones are working well. I was quite sure about the whole situation, because I wasn't sure what she was expecting of me. I hadn't shaved for two days, and I was wearing a football jersey so I felt very blokey and wanted to apologize for seemingly not making an effort. She was really friendly, and we went to Gus's for coffee, it's interesting how different people can be, Jennifer seems to not like to talk about hormones (at least when I met her one on one) but Shelly was very friendly. We chatted about most things, I'm was a bit nervous, since meeting new people is for me often quite a difficult thing. We walked around the Canberra Center and in and around many of the clothes shop. It reminded me of how much I've lost touch with the TG community in Canberra because of the intensity of my work and how much I would like to get "back into the swing of things". Alas (my word of the day or so it would appear) I still have work which has to be done.
However, for the avid readers of this diary *lol* I have put a certain plan into motion which if it works out might just kill maybe three birds with one stone. I'm not going to say just what it is, because it's terribly irresponsible (I like it more already), but maybe in the future I'll tell you all about it.
Anyway, after Shelly had to go home I went shopping for food, and then wasted the afternoon on the computer and at 7:00 pm we went to Heather's house to watch videos and eat pizza. We watched Small Soldiers which was typical American tripe, but a good chance to relax. After that, some people stayed to watch What Dreams Might Come, but Bridget, Susan and I decided to head back to Johns. And now here I am!
Tomorrow I have to get up at 9:00 am to start up the NMR experiment, yuck!!! Still, I suppose if I'm really lucky I might even get some work done. In theory I should be running tonight as training for IB, but I think I will give that the flick for tonight. Still, I guess if I'm getting up early I should at least go for a jog, I will shock Mum and Dad and say that I went for a 10 km run before breakfast and then went to work. That should scare them! ;)
Good heavens, it's 10:45 pm and I'm yawning already, I used to have lunch around this time not so long ago…
