Anyway, enough of this complex discussion, today was quite nice. Neither of my supervisors were in so it was a very laid back affair. I set up one main reaction, it is currently refluxing in CCl4 and being irradiated with a UV lamp. It's actually rather impressive, there is a eerie blue glow from the lamp so it looks really cool. Apart from that, I didn't do anything too exciting. The days are getting much shorter, so it was dark when I left at 5:30 pm.
Last night was the Twin Peaks trial run for Inward Bound. At 8:00 pm about 30 of the people from my college including myself ran from here to Mt Ainslie with torches and full packs. Up Mt Ainslie, down again and then over to the base of Black Mountain. Then up Black Mountain to the top. I was utterly exhausted along with everybody else when we got there. This was the main selection trial, so I wanted to finish in a good position.
I just got back from watching a bit of the news and getting a coke, I checked the mail box and it seems the blood sucking bastards want my money again. How bloody typical of them, it won't be due for another couple of days and yet the assholes have a please pay up or dot dot dot letter already. I actually liked them better when they didn't have so many students, because they were actually nice because they didn't want you to leave. Thank god it is payday tomorrow. The start of the year is always suckful, because there are early things to pay for which don't crop up later. Today I had to pay GSF and so bang there goes over a week's worth of rent money. Not to mention a new pair of shoes (~$90) for the run and so on and so forth. Not to mention my new credit card bill will probably come up soon and drain me further.
Oh that's right, as I was cycling into civic I came up with a quote which fits me perfectly at the moment…
Out of Space…
Out of time…
Out of place…
But not…
Out of the closet…
What else? Oh the plan continues, but since it's only been in effect for 3 days I'm not expecting to see any results yet. Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk… being evil and irresponsible does add a certain zest to an otherwise not too exciting day.
Tomorrow is Red's birthday and in a few days it will be Sarah's also, so I have to remember to write up Red's card and find something for Sarah especially since I didn't get her a Xmas present.
Ah, Spitball's Haiku's are guaranteed to cheer me up every time. I just reread the new BB thread, and god it was funny… "Hello Banana" *lol*
