I just got back from the Japanese movie "Ring" which was rather intense and I guess scary in the same sense that "6th Sense" and "Blair Witch Project" were (though I haven't seen the latter). I tend to avoid movies generally, particularly ones which might be a bit unpleasant, but this was really quite good.
Today began with waking up early and doing very little until archery. Alas I lost an arrow (it'll turn up eventually) and the tip off another. For once, I didn't have to bus it down to Lyons, because there was a tourney at an oval just a short walk from home. Hell-puppy (a Newbie who hangs around DX) was being authorized to fight heavy for Spring War next week up at Newcastle. It was ok, nothing too exciting and we went for coffee later on. Afterwards, I went shopping for groceries, chatted on ICQ to Allison for a bit and then went jogging.
Yesterday I did a quick bit of shopping in the morning and waxed my legs. I didn't get all of the hairs, but I'm working on (hoping for) the law of diminishing returns.
Bridget gave Heather and I a lift over to Red's place because Red had decided to throw a barbecue. It was quite nice sitting back in the warm afternoon with some good company and a drink in hand. I didn't do anything Saturday night except sit at home and read through some old diary entries.
I'm still waiting on the contract for the Miami job alas. The delay is really pushing my leaving date further and further back. Oh well…
Well, according to my scales I weigh 90 kg, and according to the ones at the gym I weigh 93 kg. Either way I'm depressingly close to 200 pounds. The good news is that by using the bike instead of the treadmill, I did 500 Calories in one long session which I hope may offset the copious amounts of fat air I seem to obviously be inhaling.
