Well, I'm finally out of the hotel, and into my apartment. It's fairly cozy, though I admit I haven't spent much time in it yet, and if things keep up, it doesn't look like I'll spend much time there in the near future. I went around today to get the new key, I applied online to get the electricity connected, and the bed should be coming tomorrow afternoon. Most importantly, I have my social security number. Not my card itself, this was in fact sent back “Return to sender” by the idiots in the office who couldn't figure out who I was. It looks like I'll have to apply for a new card tomorrow. Fortunately there is an office fairly close to my place.
My new supervisor has gone away for a few days, leaving me here unattended. I have one reaction to go over, but I think I'll put it to one side for today and go home and wax my legs or something equally as thrilling. Tonight I'm actually meeting up with a girl who one of the Tri-Ess people mentioned. We're going to have dinner and chat which hopefully will be nice as well as providing me with necessary human contact.
Peta had her “Op” about a week ago now, and I really need to get around to emailing her. I wanted to check her site for updates, but couldn't get through. I have a huge backlog of emails to sort through, so I hope people will be forgiving. Illara will be arriving here next Monday, so that should be a fun couple of days.
OK, I'm calling it a day. A dull one I know, but just enough of an excuse to let people know I'm alive.
