Today was fairly quiet, during the night a cold front swept through Florida and so the temperature was very cool compared to the preceding few days. My boss was up in Washington DC for a meeting and so all was quiet in the lab. I talked to Allison on the phone as she was getting ready for work and the day was otherwise uneventful. Yesterday we had the work meeting which was also uneventful. Gaming was on as usual, and it was ok. Because Wednesday is Avi's birthday I got him a present and Ray and Ben brought a cake. So we sang "Happy Birthday" and gamed at the same time, naturally I snapped a few photos.
So far this week I went to an ice-hockey match on Saturday night, On Sunday I went to the Sawgrass "Mega-Mall" with Jill from 1 pm till 7 pm and only bought two things, with the move being quite an expense I want to try and be frugal.
Monday night I went to watch "Attack of the Clones" at the nearby IMAX with Ben, Ray and Avi. It was pretty cool, though I much rather would have preferred to see "Apollo 13". As I already mentioned, Tuesday night was gaming. Wednesday night was Avi's birthday and so Ivan, Avi and myself drove up to the "Ale House" for a few drinks. Jill and Anthony met us there later, but I was rather tired from a succession of late nights and so I wasn't quite up to par. Tonight is thankfully a night in, I just blew through "American Road" a book retelling the rigours of the first trans-American Army convoy in 1919. The sheer adversity and utter absence of proper roads made for quite intriguing reading.
Today I received the actual offer letter from Montana. I will sign it and then fax and mail copies back tomorrow, I regret momentarily that the job in New York was not obtainable, but then I will put those regrets away and look forward to my Great North American Adventure.
