Well, after the fun and ferment of Friday night, things have calmed down somewhat. I woke up on Saturday about midday and divided my time between the lab and home. The day wasn't much fun, and late in the afternoon we had a storm with high winds and hail blow through. It was the birthday of one of the guys from the lab, so about 9 pm we all met up to go bowling. I did ok, breaking 100 in the second game, but then for whatever reasons everyone decided to split up and go home. I was rather disappointed as I thought we would have been out for a bit longer than that, so I got home before midnight.
On Sunday I did very little, the day was much nicer but still cold. I bought groceries and cleaned house, as well as talking to my parents. I ate way too much pasta for dinner and thought I was going to explode. Lots of fruit juice didn't help much either though.
Today was yet another Monday and I had a headache for some of the day which didn't help. Both my bosses are out of town just when I would appreciate some direction with my work.
Well, it's been a somewhat productive day, even if I didn't get much work done. Things are a little hectic with all the students running around with approaching finals and I'm doing my best to hide out in the lab away from it all. I spent a lot of time going back and forth between the library trying to find my way out of the “anion trap” which this project has me in.
On a good note I should finally have my home internet connection up and running by tomorrow after talking to the Uni computer people and buying about 40 feet of Ethernet cable. Hopefully I can catch up on my emails to people in Australia which I can't write up at work.
