Well, things have been fairly quiet, the usual work with all it's unexpectedness. Last night however I did get out to see the 10 pm showing of “X-Men 2”. There are two old style cinemas in town, and this one really blew me away. The interior was the pinnacle of turn of the century pseudo-rococo architecture, gold leaf, intricate designs on the walls and ceiling and an overall amazing effect. The movie was ok I suppose, the trailers were the first I'd seen in a long time, and there is a new comedy about co-joined twins which really made me believe that American cinema has truly reached it's deepest nadir. Oh well, I guess that they're not pushing "Sorority Boys" or "Juwana Man" anymore, so will the next minority step up for humiliation? I'm personally waiting for the Furry parody movie.
The University finished it's semester on Friday, and the Graduation ceremony was yesterday. The traffic was pretty horrendous, so I was glad to be on my bike. I took my moped for a spin in the afternoon, and the tachometer is just coming up on 500 km which marks the end of the running in period. For some reason I'm feeling the desperate need to be creative. I want to use my little Hi-8 camera, but I don't know what I'd shoot? Ah the creative conumdrum…
